E-pals made whilst online are cool but tell your parents/guardians who you have met and introduce them to your new friends. |

Remember that someone online may not be who they say they are - some people pretend to be someone different. If you feel uncomfortable or worried in a chat room simply get out of there! |

Speak to your parents/guardians if someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or worried. Don't forget, you can always use the back button or close that particular page down. |

Always ask your parents'/guardians' permission if you want to meet someone you have contacted online and then only meet them when your parents/guardians can be present. |
